Places to Eat

Nobody leaves Topsail Island hungry. A short list of the places we send friends and family:

Surf City

  • The main drag (Roland Ave and NC-210 around the bridge) has most of the island's restaurants — seafood, tacos, pizza, and breakfast spots all within a few blocks.
  • Breakfast — grab biscuits and strong coffee early and beat the beach crowd; the popular spots line up fast after 9.
  • Ice cream near the pier is the mandatory after-dinner walk.

Sneads Ferry

  • Just over the north bridge, this is a real working fishing village — shrimp comes straight off the boats here (the town throws a whole festival for it every summer). The dockside seafood spots are worth the short drive.

Topsail Beach & the south end

  • The quieter end of the island has a handful of casual, family-run places — good for a low-key dinner after a day of shelling.

Tip: many island kitchens close earlier than you'd expect (8–9 PM, earlier off-season), and some are cash-friendly/seasonal. Check hours before you drive.
